Stampotique Word Up Weekend

Canvas using the beautiful Stampotique Amonite Stamps by France Papillon and the mini version from Design Cube 2  I used them to inprint into Modelling paste for lots of texture

Apply Modelling Paste to a Canvas Board with a palette knife
Apply with varying thickness and texture

Dry with a heat tool until a skin forms and you can touch with no stickiness

Gently press the stamps into the thickest areas

 Mixed with Quinacridone Gold

and Cobalt Teal Hue and Dioxadine Purple

Finish with a wash of Carbon Black and allow to dry

 Dry Brush with Titanium White

 Apply a second layer

Once dry apply neat Quinacridone Gold, blending intensity

 Highlight with Metallic Lustres

Followed with washes of Dioxadine Purple

Stampotique Challenge- One Layer

Its the second week of the Single Layer Challenge, you can find more info in taking part here

I found this challenging as I love using lots of texture, I stamped Buru onto watercolour paper and masked him and then stamped the tree around him

I used inks to colour the backgorund and create his colourful world and coloured Buru with Kuretake Brush pens

The words are from the Quotes Cube, which is in this months new releases
