Clarity Stamps Challenge

I haven't taken part in a Clarity Challenge for sometime and as the current challenge was anything but a card and I've recently acquired some of the fabulous Canvas boards and new Stencils it was the ideal opportunity to get back into it although just in time!

I love the quality of the canvas boards as they will take any medium
I applied modelling paste through the gorgeous Floral heart stencil
One dry I applied DecoArt Media Acrylic Dioxadine Purple to the centre and Quinacridone Gold, I wiped this back with a baby wipe to expose the White canvas
I stamped Aliums around the edge using the purple
Once dry I stamped again using the Metallic Gold and finished dry brushing the modelling paste on the heart with gold, building up the colour gradually

Stampotique Backgrounds

Favourite Backgrounds

One of my favourite background effects is using modelling paste, Ink sprays and metallics
it create lots if lovely textures and its very forgiving

I started by sealing an 8" x 8" piece of chipboard with DecoArt Decopage Matt medium
Once dry I applied a layer of Modelling paste, this can be done quite randomly
The more texture the better really, some areas approx 1 mm and smoother to stamp into
Dry with a heat tool until it form a skin
I stamped Daniels Hearts, honeycomb and France Papillon Design Cube into randomly
I also made an angled heart stencil from chipboard, and applied modelling paste thickly
One dry I sprayed with a variety of Dylusions Spray, these are fantastic as the colours take really well and are so rich and vibrant
I finished dry brushing DecoArt Rich Espresso metallic and Silver Media Metallic or you can you metallic pastes

Skiddy was coloured with Promarkers and set on her patchwork background

Hummingbird Canvas

I've been wanting to create another project with these beautiful stamps by Ryn for quite some time, she has started a customer creation section on her blog you can find it here

I started with a 8''x8'' Clarity Stamps Canvas and applied large brush strokes of a variety of the following beautiful rich colours DecoArt Media Fluid Acrylics
Prussian Blue
Dioxadine Purple
Cobalt teal
Quinacridone violet

Whist wet applied large brush strokes of titanium white

I applied the Prussian Blue and Carbon Black acrylic paint to a mat and lightly pressed the Ryns patio stone stamp into it then applied to the canvas, or apply the paint directly to the stamps lightly with a brush not too much or it will blob
And did the same with the leaves and Kelp with metallic gold, gradually building up layers of texture

Stamped the hummingbirds onto card, coloured with Spectrum Noir Pencils and cut out and edged with Black Soot Distress Ink

Stampotique- Stars

Star Gazing Bunny
Bunny Boy has landed!

The moon was created applying modelling paste with a palette knife, keeping it quite textured
Then dried with a heat tool to form a skin, then pressed the end of a lid and paint brush for the craters
It cracked as it dried further, which really added to the effect

I glued the tiny wooden stars and once dry, applied DecoArt Carbon Black and Prussian Blue
Then dry brushed the moon and stars with Titanium white gradually building up lighter, finished with  Metallic Shimmering Silver on the stars

I stamped Kate Cranes wonderful Bunny Boy and Jos Star, and coloured with Promarkers
