Stampotique Challenge

Shimmer & Shine

I have recently been using a lot of metal sheets for embossing nice and shiny and I was keen to use my new stamp Arwen McCullen's beautiful Angel Wings

I coloured a Sandra Everston Prima - Relics and Artifacts Flaming Hearts Ex Votos II with
DecoArt Media Fluid Acrylics Metallic Silver and shaded with Cadmium Orange, Dioxadine Purple and Carbon Black softened by wiping back

I stamped the wings onto embossing metal and embossed using a fine ball tool and shaped with a larger ball tool to accentuate the curve of the wing

Coloured lightly with Cadmium Orange and Dioxadine Purple

Stamped the 'Life' from Stampotique  'A Quite Place' and created a little scroll embellishment by rolling the ends around a pin
Then coloured using the same colours as above, wiping back to expose the silver and adhered with Glossy Accents

Embellished with Finnabair Licorice Glass Beads and a clay butterfly coloured as above and some sparkly rhinestones

The ribbon was coloured using DecoArt So Soft Fabric Paints Wisteria, Dioxadine Purple and Tangerine by adding small amounts and spritzing with water

Tracy Verdugo Paint Mojo

I just spent the most amazing weekend with Tracy Verdugo in Brighton, an amazing artist who is known for her wonderful bright colourful animal pictures
It was fabulous experience working large scale 70cm x70cm which was a little out of my comfort zone
A great class allowing you to go with the flow and experimenting with different techniques and tools
Tracy is an amazing tutor who challenges you to try looking at things and life differently and super cool music anyone playing Nirvana Teen Spirit in a workshop is a total star!
Using FWAcrylic Inks for the first time and I love them! and the following DecoArt Media Fluid Acrylics
Titanium White, Dioxadine Purple, Quinacridone Gold and Red, Diarylide Yellow,Cadmium Orange and Cobalt Blue creating lots of layers, patterns and textures

I didn't set out to paint a funky feline, she just appeared!  A breed known as the Brighton Blue Face!!
not sure what to make of her, love her or loath her she's already taught me a lot
I have another two canvas from the class to finish so who knows who will appear! :)

Well where to start!
At the beginning I guess, my first two Stampotiques were Mothloved & Moth Fab and they are still my Favourites :)

So I decided to do something in my favourite colours and a little sparkle too!

I started applying DecoArt Crackle Paste, once dry applied torn tissue paper with Media Matte Medium

Applied modelling paste and a Sprinkle of Finnabairs licorice glass beads
Once dry I supplied DecoArt Media Misters Purple and Turquoise, and textured further with a wet wipe

Using Stazon Royal Purple with my next favourite stamp Daniels Hearts and a newbie France Papillon Romantic Text

I embellished with Stickles Peacock and Star Dust and Stampendous Jewel Kits Teal and Purple and embossed Roc Nichols Capture the Magic with one of the embossing powders
