Stampotique Mardi Gras

Stamped the Carnival and Sweet Move, Twinkie and Jasper and added the balloons and ribbons
The masks were made from silver card, using Arwens Angel Wings
I used masking fluid to cover all the stamped elements and then used Dylusions sprays
Sunshine, Orange, Bubblegum Pink and Postbox Red

Added splatters of DecoArt Media Fluid Acrylic Gold & Silver

Once dry removed the masking fluid and coloured with Promarkers and Carbon Black and Quinacridone gold on the letters

  1. Great background for your Mardi Gras parade. I especially love those balloons. They look so dimensional. I also love the splashes of gold and silver that add to the festive feel.

Thanks for playing along with my challenge at SDC.

  6. What fun using the masking fluid that way Jools... especially because your background is fabulous... the colors and textures just make the entire card so happy but yet intriguing. Your letters look so like they would be seen at a carnival too! I can just SEE in my mind... your three fabulous little folks walking in the middle of the Carnival Parade with their masks, balloons etc.... having a blast. What a great way to start the week - with your art. You always make my creative mind happy Jools. Hugs. j.
