DecoArt- Antique Canvas

Apply DecoArt Media Crackle paste through stencils onto a canvas board

Once dry arrange embellishments and fix

Apply Media white gesso

Spritz with water and brush DecoArt Media Fluid Acrylic Diarylide Yellow

Followed with Quinacridone Gold

Apply Doxadine Purple to shadow areas

Dry and then do the same with washes of Carbon Black

Once dry I stamped a script and stenciled areas with Quinacridone Gold, Burnt Umber and  Dioxadine Purple

Apply Crackle Paste quite thickly with a palette knife

Apply Paperclay embellishments

Stamp image and colour with Pencils, Apply washes of DecoArt Media Fluid Acrylic

Carbon Black and Quinacridone Gold

Apply neat around the stamp and blend outwards

Apply Carbon Black, Quinacridone Gold and Burnt Umber and blend outwards highlight with Cobalt Teal Hue

Apply darker around the moundings

Wipe back with a baby wipe to highlight the mouldings

                                                

 Apply Carbon Black around the edges to define

Stampotique Flowers Challenge

                          

We continue with the Flower Challenge this week at Stampotique more details on taking part

I decided to use the Sizzix Heartfelt Journal kit, Stampotique and Eileen Hull are collaborating all through June so check out the makes from Eileen's team and her products here

I assembled the cover and then randomly applied DecoArt Crackle Paste around the edges 

Once dry I stamped the flowers details below and coloured with water based inks.

I strung suede ribbon through spine to create page holders and to create a fastener 

Embellished with some Stampotique beautiful bugs and coloured with Promarkers

Stampotique Microscopic Porthole

I cut a chipboard circle and a smaller size with the centre cut out to form the porthole

adhered plastic pearls, covered with DecoArt White Media Gesso, once dry applied Texture sand and allowed to dry

Applied DecoArt Media Acyrlic Quinacridone Gold, with washes of Burnt Umber and Carbon Black

dry brushed with a mix of DecoArt Media Metallic Silver and Gold to highlight.

I stamped the fabulous new Microscopic from France Papillon and cut out, I then stamped the following and cut out and arranged and overlayed the porthole

For the background I stamped Rusted Rivets randomly, and coloured with washes of Quinacridone Gold, Burnt Umber and Carbon black

Once dry I adhered the porthole and then worked Carbon black around it and brushed down to create rust runs

DecoArt- Lucky Numbers

Apply card and plastic number embellishment to the inside of a box frame

and apply DecoArt Media Crackle Paste to the frame

 and to the raised areas

once dry apply DecoArt Media White Gesso

Apply Pyrrole Orange and Quinacridone gold to the center

 then blend Dioxadine Purple around the edges

followed with Carbon Black

 Dry brush with Titanium White

 Mix Cobalt Teal Hue and Paynes Grey and apply around the edges

Apply Quinacridone Gold and Carbon Black, wiping back with a baby wipe

Apply Phthalo Turquoise and wipe back
