I adore Stampotique Designs, and would love the opportunity to be on the Stampotique design team. To have the opportunity to work with more of the beautiful designs would be wonderful
The artwork is incredible, unique, diverse, fun and quirky! gorgeous too!!

I’ve mainly used mine on paper craft to date,  but I'd love to apply them to more structured projects too

My first piece is taken from my journal and shows the characters I renamed Finnella & Finnulla foraging in the forest! They were looking for their favourite furball fungus!!
I used acrylics as a base and crackle medium. All the images were collaged and coloured with distress inks

My tag is Fritillaria fantasying about having wings like her friend Fabulous Faith Flutterby!

The tag (my first one ever!) was covered with acrylics then modelling paste with stencils.
Stamped with silver texture and highlighted with treasure gold. The images were coloured with distress inks used as water colour, the butterfly body was ribbon wrapped in wire and the wings attached ready to fly far far away!

Halloween Card shows Mary at the gates of the Haunted House where the secret masked ball is been held!
Doesn't she look mysterious & mesmerising in her membrane magnificence!!

Background covered in acrylics, the gate, bat & mask were cut on Cricut, Mary & wings coloured with Promarkers and black soot distress ink.

I hope you like my work, I love altered art and enjoy the challenge of creating unique creations ether to a brief/ theme or my own concepts
It would be an amazing experience given the opportunity to be on the team

I take part in the Craftbarn and Clarity stamp challenges and have recently joined my first Design Team for That Craft Place and I am really enjoying the challenges and interaction.

My entry for the Clarity Stamp Challenge- Vintage

 

I don't have many Clarity stamps yet! but this is one of my favourites love the simple elegant lines and the pointillism texture stamps

 

I wanted to do a 1930's style, so started with a small jewellery box that I painted in Paperartsy Squid Ink, applied Crackle Glaze and a top coat of Nougat

 

Stamped the image and textures on the trees, I had to mask the bottom section off as the box was smaller and had to draw the landscape back in

 It was coloured using Pumpkin Soup, Chocolate Pudding and Tinned Peas! Yum, Lunch soon!!

 

Completed with Walnut & Vintage Photo Distress Inks and finished with Decoart Americana Matt

Hope you agree it creates a rather sweet little box, with a vintage feel

 

 

My latest DT piece for That Craft Place Challenge- Baby

This time the Challenge was ‘Baby’ which is a bit out of my comfort zone, but I am also working on a memory box for my nephews baby so had a lot of baby embellishments to find!

For the canvas I used a number of techniques inspired by a recent class with Finnabair

 

 

I started by layering lace onto a canvas, it can be any fabrics or papers you wish to use

Then arranged the embellishments, I chose to use a Tando mini printers tray for the central feature with the Baby photo and key embellishments .

Arranged buttons & Flowers around the frame, I also made some of them from paper clay and fimo. Then started to stick all the items down, and left to dry for 24 hours

Applied acrylic paint and ink sprays to the canvas

To finish apply white gesso in layers and dry brushed with white acrylic

I  stamped the Lost Coast flying flower girls and coloured with Promarkers

Covered the back plate of the Tando Triple Arch Layered Frame
with Indigoblu Mega Gilding Flakes, Yorkshire Dales and then mounted the stamped images

Separated the three arch frames to allow the outer two to bend forward.
Painted the outside frame and wings with stone acrylic paint, allowed to dry then applied Decoart 2 two-step crackle followed with black acrylic and rubbed back to reveal the cracks

Stamped Andy Skinners Back to nature trees & foliage onto heat resistant acetate for the covers of the panel frames and mounted on the back panel

Finished by adding the butterfly embellishments made with Martha Stewart moulds and paper clay and the wings cut with Cricut and finished with the Joseph Joubert Quote also from the Lost Coast flying flower girls

Scrapyard Challenge

Yesterday was spent on an Andy Skinner workshop, where we took a basic Ikea Mirror and transformed it into a stunning frame.
Using embossed card stock, paint techniques and Paperartsy stamps and it was transformed in to a beautiful decorated frame in gorgeous muted tones

Finally finished the third Journal page from the Fantastic Finnabair workshops last weekend
It shows my partner who is a mad keen fisherman, hence the fish imagery!
Anna demonstrated that even with scraps of paper, masking tape, few stamp textures and doodling you can create a stunning page layout, btw he loved it!!

Just had the most amazing weekend at Snazzys with the incredible talented Finnabair the workshops were spread over two days.
Saturday mornings project was Industrial Boroque Tea for Two and the afternoon was Imagine Collage Canvas

Sunday was getting inky with Prima and making a journal from scratch, pages and layouts

A fabulous array of techniques and inspiration, I have so many ideas and new techniques to play around with

 A lovely weekend with an inspirational artist and a lovely group of people from both far and wide
