Stampotique Art in your Heart

I love the Daniels heart stamp, so I just had to use for this challenge
First I covered a 6" x 6" piece of Tando chip board with DecoArt modelling paste, I dried with a heat tool until it had a skin and then stamped the hearts
Once dry I coloured with Dylusions Ink sprays
Then highlighted was DecoArt Metallic Lustre Iced espresso and then added alcohol Ink to make pinker

The hanging hearts were modelling paste through a stencil I made based on the stamp, put onto muslin fabric and embroidery thread for added texture
This was applied in two layers to get dimension, these were also coloured with ink sprays
The canvas back was muslin coloured with Derwent Inktense sticks, distressed the edges and then glued and turned back over the edge of the front

I put the hanging thread through the back at the top and then adhered the hearts onto the canvas

  4. I am such an avid fan, Jools, and the piece is just one of the reasons why! Your creations are never "common," but each time something unique, something where you are pushing yourself to create something yet unimagined. Thanks for such inspiring work--always! Thanks, too, for joining us at the Stampotique Designers' "Heart in Your Art" Challenge this week!

  7. Love your use of the muslin to give a shabby soft look to the hearts and the border - it's wonderful. And when I succumb to Daniel's Hearts, I think it's going to be your fault! Amazing work again, Jools!
