Stampotique Challenge ‘Winged Things’

'Angel Friend'

The background was produced on watercolour paper with splodges of DecoArt acrylic Dioxazine purple, Lemonade, using a spritzer and left to bleed out
Once dry I stamped the Vintage London stamp skyline

The Angel was made by using DecoArt So Soft fabric paints, Dioxazine purple, True Blue, Avocado, Green Apple, Indian Turquoise and Wisteria.
This was the first time using these so a bit of experimenting for another project too! they are really easy to use and don't require any fixing
I spritzed the fabric with water and brushed to create a wash then stencilled using Dutch Doobadoo faded dots
Once dry I Stamped Stampotique Lovely Wings and Friend then cut out and layered.
The outer wings were done in the same way and then distressed with a scratcher and scissors

I will be also using this as my first page of my ‘Journal52’ project ‘Up, Up and Away’

  4. It's beautiful, Jools - so atmospheric - I can't decide whether this angel is on the side of the angels or not!

  6. Wow, another stunner Jools! That sky just glows over the houses, and so many subtle layers in there! So much atmosphere! Like Alison, it's a guess, is she on the good or on the dark side...... I'm guesing though, with that gorgeous yellow glow behind there, she must be on the good side. Maybe just a bit sad about all the stupid things we humans do. I so believe in angels lol....
